Candle Care

SOY WAX CANDLES
To ensure you have a long lasting, full fragranced soy candle you should know the following information:

1. FULL WAX POOL
The first burn is the most important, allow the wax to melt across the entire surface all the way to the edge of the glass. This will prevent tunnelling of the wax.

2. WICK TRIM
Before each burn, trim the wick to 4-5mm and remove any wick debris. This will promote an even burn and steady flame.

3. DIP THE WICK
The best way to extinguish your candle is to dip the wick into the molten wax and then re-straighten. This stops the wick from smoking.

4. 4 HOUR RULE
Never leave a candle burning unattended and extinguish your candle after a maximum burn time of 4 hours. Glass may be hot to touch so let your candle cool completely.

5. BURN SAFTEY
Burn your candle on a heat resistant surface. Keep out of reach from children, pets and flammable materials.

6. TIME TO SAY GOOD-BYE
Do not burn your candle so the wax is below 8mm from the bottom of the jar. This could crack the glass. Please re-purpose your container to use around the home. It must be time to light a new Temptation Scents candle!

*Please keep in mind all products containing vanilla fragrance or uses base notes of vanilla may turn the candle a light brown colour. The fragrance oils used in Temptation Scents candles contain raw materials which can discolour the wax. This wont affect the candle in any way.
**Please keep in mind the candles are hand poured and not mass produced. Although all effort is made to ensure consistency, every candle will be different.
*** It is important before lighting the candle, to check the glass jar for any hairline cracks which could of incurred in transit. The heat from the wax could cause glass to further crack.
**** Candle wicks require trimming between burns. Once trimmed, only then will the candle stop emitting carbon - the black residue or 'soot'. If there is black residue on the glass, dampen a paper towel and wipe clean.
***** WHOOPS! IVE SPILT MY CANDLE... Don't stress! Soy wax is water soluble meaning you can easily clean any spilt wax with warm soapy water.
